What the food channels did for cakes and cupcakes, The Learning Channel is about to do for balloons–namely, touch off a huge craze for balloon-twisting as an art form!
Beginning Monday, February 7, TLC will launch its highly-anticipated six-part television series entitled “The Unpoppables,” featuring the artsy skills of three renowned balloon twisters/decorator artists: Brian Asman, Katie Laibstain and Addi Somekh! Talk about getting panties in a twist–this talented trio goes way beyond twisting balloons into every shape imaginable…and some shapes you CAN’T imagine!–for their over-the-top large-scale balloon sculptures!
They can’t do it alone, though–the superb-quality Qualatex balloons the team uses truly make the seemingly-impossible possible! Would you be surprised if you thought a thousand balloons were used per installation? Well, prepare to be shocked, because over 15,000 Qualatex balloons per installation were transformed into magical creations!
Everyone and their dog is going to want to tap into their inner balloon artist after they see “The Unpoppables”! So, pop over to The Learning Channel on Monday, February 7 for the premiere episode, “Firehouse Blowup,” and Episode #2, “Blowing Up Art,” which air back-to-back at 7:00pm/7:30pm CST/8:00pm/8:30pm EST. Both episodes have encore showings at 10:00pm CST/11:00pm EST.
Tune into TLC for all of the unstoppable, unpoppable balloon fun! After you see just how much blood, sweat and tears go into the making of the “effortless” balloon designs we all know and love, you’re going to run right out and kiss your local balloon artists! (If you’re in San Jose, CA, that means Tony and Rolando at Party Fiesta Balloon Decor will be waiting for your hugs!)
