You don’t have to hop a jet to Rio de Janeiro to make the most of Carnival Day! The fun can be in your own backyard! Every February 26, we pause to celebrate the joys of carnivals and circuses everywhere! Whether it’s a small-town school/church carnival or a huge Ringling Bros. affair, the air is rich with the intoxicating smell of just-popped popcorn and sugary cotton candy, and happy-faced clowns bring smiles to kids of all ages!
Bouquets of rainbow-bright balloons lend magic to the carnival atmosphere, like a wave of color across the sky, and clowns twist squiggly balloons into every shape you can possibly dream of! Want a balloony bonnet? Done! A balloon butterfly? Easy-pleasy, lemon-squeezy!
If there’s no carnival or circus coming to your town, why not create your own three-ring event?! All it takes is some cool childhood snacks, a face-painter, someone willing to act like Bozo for one day, bunches of glistening balloons and as many children as you can get to answer the call! You’ll be the most popular kid in your neighborhood…no matter how old a kid you are!
